International Creole Day Celebration

This year's Creole Day Celebration focuses on Kreol as spoken in Mauritius, with guest speaker Prof. Fabiola Henri, Assistant Prof of Linguistics at the University at Buffalo. At 5:15, student Chloe Hamer (UNC-Chapel Hill) will give her talk, "Enpòtans resous ki an kreyòl pou disètasyon mwen." Prof. Henri will give her lecture, "Mauritian Kreol: Language, Identity and Culture (Kreol Moris: langaz, idantite ek kiltir)."
