Italy 21St Century


Designed to enrich students' knowledge and understanding of contemporary Italian society and culture and to enhance their communicative skills and ability to comprehend more complex written texts and spoken language. The course examines various aspects of contemporary Italian culture through the discussion of a variety of print and non-print materials: literary, journalistic and cinematic texts on contemporary Italian society, politics and culture. Topics include immigration, media and politics, popular cultures, environmental issues and gastronomic cultures. Instructor: Fellin and staff
