Majors in Italian Studies and History, Minor in Economics

My name is Alex, and I'm double majoring in Italian Studies and History with a minor in Economics. Outside of classes, I do sports photography for The Chronicle, lead the Club Lacrosse team, and plan and manage events for Diavoli Blu, the Italian club on campus. I'm from Boise, Idaho, and love doing everything outdoors, from fly fishing to skiing to rock climbing. I spent this summer working at the intersection of my photography and fishing interests, joining guided fly fishing trips as a photographer, as well as editing videos for a fishing YouTube channel. Professionally, I would love to do marketing or social media management for a sports team.

Favorite Class: My favorite class was Italian 334S, Text and Image: The Mythological Renaissance, with Professor Kate Driscoll. The course perfectly combined my interests in both Italian and classical history, and I found the lectures engaging and insightful. I especially appreciated how the small group seminar helped me develop my Italian language skills.
