"Our research investigates perinatal environmental exposures and health outcomes. We use a combination of laboratory, clinical, and epidemiological approaches, including birth cohorts of parents and children regarding in Spanish speaking countries, such as Mexico."

What advice would you give students in Duke's Romance Studies programs?

"Studying Spanish language and culture opened up a number of research opportunities"
